Tony Pulis is hoping to integrate more academy graduates into his West Brom first-team line-ups next season.
The Baggies head coach has been casting a watchful eye over a growing number of the club’s hottest young prospects during pre-season training.
And Jonathan Leko, Tyler Roberts, Sam Field, Jack Fitzwater, Kyle Howkins and Kane Wilson have all been given minutes on the pitch in the warm-up matches.
Pulis has been impressed with the way the teenagers have stepped up and believes they can force their way into his thoughts when the Premier League gets back under way.
“Hopefully we can integrate three or four of them this year and keep them with us,” he said.
“Or if we decide they’re not going to get games, then get them out and get them playing. Kane’s done well since he’s come with us, we’ve been really pleased with him.
“Tyler’s done well when he’s come on too.
“Obviously Jon did well last year so there are some good kids in the academy.”
