West Brom boss Tony Pulis insists he is not panicking about his future because he is used to coaching on short-term deals.
The former Stoke boss guided the Baggies to 14th in the Premier League table although he has yet to extend his contract.
Pulis has just 12 months remaining on his current deal and is set to have a meeting with club chairman Jeremy Pearce in the coming weeks.
The 58-year-old joined West Brom in January 2015 and insists he will not be worried if a new deal does not come before the start of the new campaign.
“I donÂ’t think it makes any difference,” he told the Birmingham Mail. “For a long period of my career I worked with just a one-year rolling contract. It makes no difference.
“The biggest thing is trying to improve the football club and stabilise what weÂ’re trying to achieve.”
