Brighton and Hove Albion have announced the signing of West Brom defender Sebastien Pocognoli on a season-long loan deal.
The 29-year-old left-back has joined Chris Hughton’s Championship promotion-chasers for the rest of the season.
The Belgium international joined the Baggies in 2014 from German side Hannover but made just 21 appearances for Premier League club.
Baggies head coach Tony Pulis dropped him from his Premier League line-up as soon as he took over and Pocognoli was only ever given a chance in cup matches.
Hughton told Brighton’s official website: “Sebastien has a vast amount of experience having played in some of the top divisions in Europe, as well as in the Champions League.
“He is the type of quality player we want to add to the squad, and we are looking forward to working with him.”
