Paris Saint-Germain have contacted Manchester United striker Anthony Martial about a possible summer move, according to L’Equipe.
The French champions are looking to strengthen their attacking corps this summer as they prepare for life without Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but have apparently been rebuffed by Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann.
Martial has been a revelation in his first season at Old Trafford and is the club’s top Premier League goalscorer with 11, despite playing most of the season on the left wing.
PSG can offer certain Champions League football next season, which United currently cannot, and the French champions also appear to have more stability at the top of the club in terms of senior management and coaching.
Martial also comes from the outskirts of Paris, having been brought up in the Les Ulis suburb that has also produced the likes of Thierry Henry and Patrice Evra.
However, it will not be an easy operation to prise the 20-year-old star away from Old Trafford only a year after his £50m-plus move from AS Monaco.
