Jose Mourinho will reportedly snub Paris Saint-Germain because he is still harbouring hopes of becoming the Manchester United manager.

Reports on Tuesday have suggested the Portuguese tactician, who has been out of work since leaving Chelsea earlier in the season, has been approached by the French champions about replacing Laurent Blanc at the end of the campaign.

PSG have subsequently refused to comment on the claims, while it seems Mourinho would be non-committal anyway because, as he has previously said, he would prefer a job which keeps him in England.

The former Inter Milan and Real Madrid boss would be given a huge salary and a massive war-chest to try and bring the Champions League trophy to the French capital if he did agree to take over at the Parc des Princes.

But with the future of United’s current boss Louis van Gaal still in doubt, it appears Mourinho will wait until the Old Trafford hierarchy make a decision on the Dutchman in the summer and then weigh up his own options.

As we reported on Monday some sources are claiming he has agreed a three-year deal with United while it’s being mooted that he will try and sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic when his PSG contract expires at the end of the season, along with Benfica’s Renato Sanches, and Everton’s John Stones if and when he is installed at Old Trafford.
