Arsenal have been alerted to the news Adrien Rabiot has revealed he wants to play in the Premier League at some point.
The 21-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has been linked with a move to England recently, with the Gunners, Manchester City and Chelsea all believed to be monitoring his situation with the Ligue 1 champions.
Rabiot had a spell training at City’s academy as a teenager back in 2008 and he admits it left a lasting impression, confirming he wants to ply his trade in the Premier League at some point down the line.
He told Telefoot: “I really liked my time in England, and the life there, even outside of football. I told myself that I will return one day. I have always had the desire to play in England, it is in me. The Premier League, that is football!”
However, despite those comments, Rabiot says he remains focused on PSG for now and wants to establish himself in Unai Emery’s first-team plans this season.
He added: “I want to prove this season that I can be an important player for the team. My ambition is to establish myself as a starter at PSG and I think that with that, international recognition with France will also come.
“Of course I am very happy at PSG and I would like to stay for a long time, to grow with the club and to become captain of the team one day, but we cannot predict how things can turn out.”
