Paris Saint-Germain are interested in Liverpool ace Philippe Coutinho but the Reds are likely to resist all offers for him this summer.
The Brazil international has been one of Liverpool’s best players for the past couple of years and has attracted attention from all of Europe’s big clubs, including PSG, Barcelona and Manchester City in the past.
The 23-year-old is believed to be happy and settled on Merseyside but, with no European football on offer next season, the playmaker has been linked with a move away this summer.
PSG have made it aware they would be willing to spend around £25million on the former Inter man but Liverpool will do all they can to keep their No.10, as boss Jurgen Klopp knows he is the sort of player he can build his side around.
Coutinho still has four years left on his long-term Reds contract and there are no indications he is ready to rock the boat this summer and agitate for a move away, despite the fact he is yet to win any major silverware since joining in January 2013, while he admitted his frustration at “always hitting the post” at Liverpool after losing in both the League and Europa Cup finals this year.
PSG’s interest is unlikely to sway Coutinho too much and, unless the Reds receive a huge offer in excess of £35million from the Ligue 1 champions or any other club, he is expected to stay – beyond this summer’s window at least.
