Norwich have agreed a deal with Tottenham to sign midfielder Alex Pritchard on a four-year contract for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old has found it hard to break into to Tottenham’s first team, making just two Premier League appearances since coming through the academy.
Boss Mauricio Pochettino has been happy to hand chances to the younger members of his squad but Pritchard hasn’t been given the same opportunities.
The England under-21 international has previously been shipped out on loan to Peterborough, Swindon, Brentford and West Brom to gain experience.
However, he will now leave permanently as he looks to get regular football under Norwich boss Alex Neil in the second tier of English football.
Pritchard told Norwich’s official website: “I’m ready to come here, fight for my place and hopefully play well.
“I feel I need to go out and prove myself again in football. I’m 23 now so it’s about time I had my own path really.
“I’ve had a full pre-season and with our first game at the weekend I’m looking forward to hopefully bedding myself in quickly.”
