Premier League table: Where Leicester’s points total would place them in the past 10 BPL seasons

23 Mar

Leicester City find themselves deservedly five points clear at the top of the Premier League this season, with Tottenham chasing them in second place.

However, despite this seemingly miraculous situation, some critics have suggested that the Foxes owe their lead not only to their own brilliance, but also the poverty of challenge from the so-called big clubs.

So how much truth is there in this? Where would Claudio Ranieri’s side be in the season where Cristiano Ronaldo’s Manchester United dominated? Or when Sergio Aguero broke the hearts of the red half of Manchester and wrote himself into the history of the blue half? Or when Steven Gerrard infamously let the title slip?

talkSPORT looked at the last ten Premier League seasons to see where Leicester would sit with seven games to go, based on their points tally at this stage and the points achieved by other clubs after 31 matches of each season.
