Crystal Palace are believed to be weighing up a move for Wigan Athletic midfielder Max Power during the close season.
Eagles boss Alan Pardew has been checking out the talent in the lower leagues this season and Power’s performances for Wigan appear to have caught the eye.
The 22-year-old only joined Wigan from Tranmere Rovers last summer but went on to play an instrumental role as Gary Caldwell’s men won the League One title.
Power chipped in with six goals, but his overall energetic displays in midfield have alerted a number of clubs including Brentford and Blackburn Rovers.
However Palace will be confident of fighting off the competition to complete a deal, should Pardew decide to pursue a move for the talented youngster.
Gillingham midfielder Bradley Dack has also been linked, and it remains to be seen if Pardew will target both.
