Stoke have yet to receive an answer from West Brom regards their £20m bid for Saido Berahino, who has now jetted off on pre-season.
Stoke are understood to have tabled the bid for the 22-year-old striker earlier this week but are still awaiting a response from Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace.
Albion have previously stated their intention to hold on to Berahino, but the striker has made it clear in the past that he wants to move on and favourited a tweet about Stoke’s bid on Tuesday.
Berahino is part of a 21-strong Albion squad heading to the Netherlands for two matches in the space of three days.
The Baggies will not let Berahino leave until a replacement is found with West Ham’s Diafra Sakho a target and the Hammers, like Albion, want reinforcements before sanctioning any move.
Crystal Palace are also keen on Berahino but Stoke are favourites after matching Albion’s valuation.
