Police probe links to right-wing extremism over Jo Cox killing

The suspect, named locally as Thomas Mair, has been deemed fit for interview and detectives will continue questioning him.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed the hate mail, which was investigated by the Metropolitan Police, was unrelated to the murder investigation. 

The chief constable added: “We are aware of two previous unrelated incidents which culminated in Jo receiving a malicious communication of a sexual nature at her parliamentary office in Westminster.
