Paul Pogba has sent Manchester United fans into a social media meltdown after teasing about his potential next destination.
The Juventus midfielder remains odds-on to complete a world record £112m deal to return to Old Trafford – just four years after running down his contract and quitting on a free.
Real Madrid boss, Zinedine Zidane, however, seemed to suggest on Wednesday that his club could yet be in the market for his fellow countryman.
In turn, Pogba’s boot sponsor Adidas – who also look after both Madrid and United – posted a short Twitter video of the 23-year-old reading a newspaper with the words ‘Blah, blah, blah’ on it.
But just a few hours later, Pogba posted a black and white image of himself filling up his white Lamborghini supercar at a petrol station on the famous Route 66 Highway.
United fans immediately jumped on the fact Pogba had decided to leave both his shoes and baseball cap coloured bright red in the Instagram posting.
And it even left some suggesting the Route 66 location was perhaps a nod to the old No.6 shirt he used to wear at Juve, which United have yet to allocate a player for.
