Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino could sign a new deal at White Hart Lane in the next 48 hours.
The Argentinian has been a big hit at Spurs since he arrived at the club nearly two years ago and he’s guided them to at least a top-three Premier League finish this season.
The former Southampton manager said last month he had verbally agreed a deal with the club that would extend his terms until 2021 and now reports claim he will put pen to paper before Sunday’s final game of the season at Newcastle.
Pochettino has been linked with taking over as Manchester United boss previously and, after he was pictured with former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson this week when they met for lunch in central London, speculation increased that he could be in line for the Old Trafford post.
However, it is believed Spurs knew about the meeting in advance and club officials are sure he remains fully committed to his current job.
