Mauricio Pochettino has made it clear that Nabil Bentaleb, Alex Pritchard and Federico Fazio play no part in his plans for Tottenham.
The Spurs boss, speaking in Melbourne ahead of his side’s International Champions Cup clash against Juventus, left the trio in no doubt over his motives after he left all three out of the pre-season trip Down Under.
“The situation of three players (Fazio, Bentaleb, Pritchard) is very clear – they are not in my plans,” said the Argentine.
That appears to be a clear message to the players in question to sort themselves out with new clubs as soon as possible with Pochettino still looking to bring fresh faces into his squad.
Clinton Njie, another player who didn’t travel to Australia, appears to be in a different situation with Pochettino citing injury as the reason why the Cameroon international was absent for the time being.
“Njie is injured – he is in London and not available to come,” added the manager.
Reports in France over the weekend claimed the 22-year-old was set to sign for Marseille in a separate deal to the one that will bring Georges-Kevin N’Koudou to the club.
