Stoke are among the clubs said to be tracking Plymouth Argyle playmaker Graham Carey after scouts watched him at the weekend.
The Potters were among a host of Premier League scouts who took in the game between Stevenage and Argyle at the weekend, with Arsenal Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Southampton and Sunderland also said to be in attendance.
It is unclear which particular player was under the microscope, but the local press in Plymouth are suggesting Carey is attracting all the attention.
The 27-year-old, who hails from the Republic of Ireland, has chipped in with 16 goals from 51 appearances since joining Plymouth from Ross County in 2015.
Carey was named player of the year in the last campaign and has also impressed in the opening games of this season so it is no surprise the scouts are flocking to check him out.
