Chelsea are being linked with a move for Southampton striker Graziano Pelle as doubts surround the future of Diego Costa.
The Blues have just announced the signing of Belgium international striker Michy Batshuayi, who has penned a five-year-deal, and that has kicked off reports suggesting Costa will be made available.
Costa had a difficult time at Stamford Bridge last season and is said to be angling for a return to Spain, with his former club Atletico Madrid keen to take him back.
Chelsea will grant him his wish if Atletico match their valuation, allowing new Blues boss Antonio Conte to draft in another striker, with Pelle said to be a target.
Conte knows Pelle well from his time with the Italian national side, and the striker has already proven himself in the Premier League while with Southampton.
Everton and AC Milan are also reported to be interested in the striker but Chelsea will be in the box seat if they make a move, due to the influence of Conte.
