Paul Pogba appeared to tease Manchester United supporters on Monday after posting a cryptic message on his official Instagram account.
The Juventus midfielder posted a picture which showed him and his agent, Mino Raiola, laughing by a swimming pool on a sunny day.
The caption on the image read: “We say it all by saying nothing at all.”
The response to the post from United supporters has been mixed, with many attempting to decipher what it is supposed to mean.
Some fans, who have perhaps spent too much time in the sun themselves, have suggested that Raiola is wearing a United shirt as shorts in the picture, apparently an indication that a move to Old Trafford is on.
Others believe that the image is proof that Pogba and Raiola are dragging the speculation out for their own benefit or completely stringing United along.
Pogba is United’s primary transfer target this summer, though it is expected that they will have to pay a world record transfer fee to secure his services.
Juventus have reportedly demanded that United increase their total offer of €120m (£100m, including €8m in add-ons) to €130m.
The 23-year-old midfielder would become Jose Mourinho’s fourth signing since his appointment as the club’s new manager in May.
Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, described by Mourinho as ‘fundamental’ signings, have already joined so far this summer.
