Alexandre Pato’s agent says his client is very keen on joining Chelsea permanently this summer.
Pato, who joined the Blues back in January on a loan deal until the end of the season, has struggled for game time since arriving due to poor fitness levels and injuries.
The Brazil international failed to play for two months but finally managed to make his debut in the 4-0 thumping of Aston Villa on April 2, winning a penalty and then converting it.
He also started Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium and the two performances so far have highlighted his quality.
A permanent deal hinges largely on whether incoming manager Antonio Conte is a fan of Pato but the latter’s agent, Kia Joorabchian, says a Stamford Bridge stay is the dream.
“He wanted to come to Chelsea, that was his first choice,” he told Goal. “He loves the Premier League and wants to stay here if Chelsea want to keep him.
“I think a lot of things will change between now and the end of the season. He was very successful in his first Premier League match and he needs to continue to impress.”
