Crystal Palace are set to launch a new improved bid for Christian Benteke in the hope it will be enough to land the Liverpool striker.
Eagles boss Alan Pardew is on the look out for a new striker and after missing out on Belgium international Michy Batshuayi, he has turned his attention to his fellow countryman.
Palace are believed to have failed with an initial £25million bid on Friday as the Reds hold out for £30million and Pardew is now set to go back with an improved offer.
Reports claim the offer will be £27millon but it could rise to offer £30million depending on add ons, and Palace hope that will be enough to convince Liverpool to sell.
Benteke does not fit into the plans of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who is keen to cash in and use the money to make his own signings, so it is hoped a deal will finally go through.
