Former Manchester United defender Gary Pallister has insisted his old club still has plenty to play for this season.
Pallister was spotted in the away section at Anfield last week, as the Red Devils slipped to a 2-0 Europa League first-leg reverse against Liverpool.
United will tonight attempt to overturn the tie at Old Trafford, although Pallister feels there are a number of fronts where Louis van Gaal’s can still deliver success this term.
Pallister said: “If we can make it uncomfortable for Liverpool there’s no reason we can’t get back in the tie, and nobody in that top four seems to be able to cope with the demands of the Premier League at the moment.
“Arsenal have got their problems, City have got their problems, we (United) have got our issues and Leicester are just sitting laughing at the top of the league.”
Speaking at an event launching a partnership between United and Gulf Oil international, Pallister added: “The West Ham FA Cup replay is going to be massive as well and if we can beat City (this Sunday) we are right back in that chase for the Champions League place, so this season is very much alive.”
