Doncaster Rovers are hopeful of signing Crystal Palace striker Keshi Anderson on loan for next season.
Anderson, who arrived at Selhurst Park in 2015 from Barton Rovers, joined Doncaster on a one-month loan back in September before the temporary move was extended in October until January 2016.
The 21-year-old looked impressive after scoring three goals in seven League One appearances but his time at the club was cut short when he suffered a broken leg against Rochdale in November.
He has been working tirelessly to get back to full fitness in time for the new campaign and Rovers boss Darren Ferguson says another loan deal could be agreed between both parties.
“Keshi Anderson is certainly one we would try and bring back,” he said. “And Crystal Palace are quite keen on that happening. Obviously the boy’s still miles away in terms of his fitness.
“But he knows he’s going to play and he likes it here.”
