Crystal Palace are being linked with a surprise move for Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic, who could be on the move this summer.
As expected Begovic has played second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois since joining Chelsea from Stoke last summer, and now he wants more first-team football.
There have been suggestions that Courtois could leave Stamford Bridge and head to Spain with Real Madrid, and Begovic might wait to see what happens there before making a decision on his future.
Chelsea have also been linked with Stoke’s Jack Butland should Courtois leave the club, so Begovic appears to be in limbo no matter what happens.
Palace are said to be keeping an eye on developments and could make a move if Begovic does look to leave.
The Eagles already have Wayne Hennessey, Julian Speroni and Alex McCarthy but would be willing to sacrifice at least one of them if Begovic became available.
