West Ham defender Angelo Ogbonna admits he had to adapt his game following his move to the Premier League last summer.
The Italy international, who is currently part of Antonio Conte’s 23-man squad at Euro 2016, moved to East London from Juventus last summer.
The 28-year-old endured a debut to forget in English football however, as he scored an own-goal on the opening weekend of the league season, but following that blip he adapted well to the rigours of the English top flight, appearing in 28 matches.
The former Torino player admits he had to adjust his game to succeed in the Premier League, and he was full of praise for the validity of the division.
He said: “I personally had to make many changes, including tactical ones, as the English league is a very dynamic one.
“Tactically it might leave something to be desired, but it’s a valid league.”
