West Brom defender Allan Nyom insists he has no regrets about turning down the chance to be part of Cameroon’s AFCON-winning squad.
The full-back initially rejected the opportunity to represent his country of birth before eventually changing his mind as the tournament came about.
Cameroon boss Hugo Broos then told the former Granada man that there was no spot available for him to take as the squad travelled to Gabon.
The Indomitable Lions went on to lift the continental title for the fifth time in their history after a 2-1 victory over Egypt in the final and Broos claimed those players not there would rue their decision.
Nyom, who has been playing regularly for the Baggies since joining from Watford over the summer, has hit back and claims he doesn’t regret anything.
“Let him know that I don’t have any regrets,” Nyom said.
