Manchester City failed to make up ground in the Premier League title race after being held to a 0-0 draw by Norwich at Carrow Road.
The visitors started better and it was predictably Sergio Aguero who was the main threat, with the Argentine forcing home goalkeeper John Ruddy into a decent save early on.
Alex Neil’s men started to come into the game and Patrick Bamford was unlucky when his 30-yard strike beat Joe Hart, but cannoned off the crossbar.
The home side were starting to be a real threat and on the stroke of half-time Matt Jarvis cut in from the left and saw his shot deflected just wide of the post, with Hart again beaten.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side had the better of the second half but again Ruddy denied Aguero with a smart stop, as the game petered out to a draw which will do neither side any good at either end of the table.
