Hull midfielder Tom Huddlestone believes the Tigers have a strong squad and boss Steve Bruce does not need to go on a spending spree.
Bruce has yet to make a new signing since Hull returned to the top flight, but he is being linked with a whole host of players and will soon start to draft new faces in.
Tottenham midfielder Ryan Mason is being linked, with reports suggesting a £10million deal could be on the cards. Huddlestone accepts that new blood is needed but does not think wholesale changes are required.
“I think we have the basis of a good squad and a good team,” said Huddlestone, who recently penned a new two-year deal. “Last year we relied too much on Abel (Hernandez) goalscoring wise so we probably need two or three more goalscorers, whether that’s midfielders, wingers or strikers.
“The rest of it just needs a bit of fine tuning and then we won’t be too far off. We’ve kept the majority of the squad and that will be the nucleus of the team going into next season with a few additions.”
Titanbet are offering odds of 4/5 on Hull being relegated from the Premier League next season.
