Anthony Martial will miss Manchester United’s crucial game away to West Ham United on Tuesday night with a hamstring injury.
The France forward is also facing a race against time to be fit for the Red Devils’ final league match of the season against Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The United striker pulled up with the problem in the warm-up prior to United’s 1-0 win at Norwich City on Saturday and has not been passed fit to travel to London for Tuesday’s clash at Upton Park, which will be West Ham’s final game at the famous old ground.
The news will be a major blow to manager Louis van Gaal, although the Dutchman will be able to recall both Daley Blind and Marcus Rashford – who were rested at the weekend.
Martial will be tested throughout the week as United aim to get him fit for Bournemouth, although Van Gaal is wary of aggravating the problem with the FA Cup final against Crystal Palace still to play at Wembley a week on Saturday.
