Reported Everton target Neto is unlikely to be moving to the Premier League in January, according to the Juventus keeper’s agent.
Everton made an offer for the 27-year-old in the summer but failed to lure him to Goodison Park as boss Ronald Koeman went after a new goalkeeper.
It was thought a fresh bid would be made in January but Neto’s agent, Stefano Castagna, has cooled talk he is on his way to the Premier League in the new year.
When asked about interest from an unnamed English club, he told Sport Witness: “Yeah, in summer.”
However, when probed further about the possibility a future move for his client to the Premier League, Castagna added: “No, absolutely no.”
Koeman brought in Maarten Stekelenburg this summer following former number one Tim Howard’s exit. but it’s thought he’s still after a new keeper and Brazilian Neto remains on his wishlist despite the latest comments from the player’s agent.
