Napoli are preparing to offer Kalidou Koulibaly a new contract as they attempt to stave off interest from Manchester United and Everton.
The centre-back has become a key figure in the Napoli team this season and the Italian side are desperate to keep hold of the Senegalese with Champions League football next season looking increasingly likely.
United are on the hunt for a defender to partner Chris Smalling and Koulibaly is high up on their list of targets.
But Koulibaly’s agent, Bruno Satin, has revealed his client is ready to commit his future to the Partenopei.
“I am still in contact with [sporting director Cristiano] Giuntoli,” Satin told Radio Crc.
“If I understood things, he’s thinking about reinforcing the team with several big players.
“A renewal? We’re working on it, but it’s going to take longer than two days.”
