Napoli make first bid for Manchester City and Manchester United target Fabinho

Napoli have opened the bidding for Manchester City and Manchester United target Fabinho, according to reports in Italy.

Both Premier League heavyweights have held long-standing interest in the Brazilian full-back – and City even held talks with him about a move this time last year.

However, despite additional interest from Inter Milan, the 22-year-old has so far stayed put at Monaco although the Ligue 1 club are now bracing themselves for summer interest.

And it appears that the first offer has come from Serie A, with Napoli reportedly lodging a bid worth around £8.5m.

But it is unclear whether that will be enough to tempt Monaco into selling Fabinho, who is under contract until 2019 and played 34 times in the league last season.
