Sunderland boss David Moyes has been linked with a double raid on Nottingham Forest for Oliver Burke and Britt Assombalonga.
The Black Cats manager is keen to bolster his attacking options and reports claim the Forest pair are potential targets.
Moyes is understood to have watched Forest’s 1-0 defeat at Brentford on Tuesday night and speculation indicates he made the journey to watch the duo.
Both players started on the bench but Moyes did get a brief sighting of the two Forest men after Burke managed 24 minutes and Assombalonga came on soon after him.
Burke, 19, is under contract until 2018 and Moyes could face competition should he make a move for the Scottish winger, as Crystal Palace have also been credited with an interest as they seek a replacement for Yannick Bolasie.
Assombalonga joined Forest in a £5.5million deal from Peterborough in 2014 and is tied down to the City Ground side until 2019.
The 23-year-old, who scored twice in his side’s opening win over Burton, missed the majority of last season with a knee injury but is still rated at around £7million by Forest.
