Jose Mourinho is convinced Paul Pogba will establish himself as a Manchester United star and justify his world-record fee.
United splashed out 105million euros (£89m) to re-sign the France midfielder from Juventus in the summer but he is yet to score since his return to Old Trafford.
Mouirnho feels Pogba is still adapting to his new club and he believes the midfielder is still working his way back to his best after helping France reach the Euro 2016 final this summer.
The United boss also urged Pogba to forget about his price-tag and focus on his football.
“The world record player is always a question that will be open until somebody breaks the record,” Mourinho told reporters.
“I just want Paul to forget that and to play his football.
“It’s normal that after the first game he has a little decrease, but I am full of trust with him because I know the player he is.”
