Stoke are among the clubs interested in a move for Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, but a move looks unlikely.
Potters boss Mark Hughes was in the hunt for a new midfielder during the summer and it looks as though Bakayoko was on his list of possible targets after he impressed for Monaco last season.
Bakayoko has continued to shine in the new campaign leading to further speculation he could be on the move when the transfer window re-opens in January.
Stoke will face strong competition from some of Europe’s top clubs if they did pursue a move, but the player’s agent Michel Boli, says his client is staying where he is for now.
“Juventus saw him play three times this summer,” Boli told Get French Football. “There’s also interest from Manchester United, West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City.
“Leicester City contacted us very recently. Tiemoue’s priority is to stay at Monaco.”
The 22-year-old is under contract until 2019 and Monaco have no intention of cashing in either.
