Jurgen Klopp admits Liverpool have certain areas to improve on following Saturday’s 2-0 away defeat to Burnley.
The Reds picked up a thrilling 4-3 win against Arsenal at the Emirates on the opening day but were brought sharply back down to earth after the disappointing defeat at Turf Moor.
The visitors had plenty of possession but were wasteful in the final third and the Clarets, who lost to Swansea in their first match of the season, made the most of their two clear-cut chances.
Sam Vokes and Andre Gray both found the back of the net in the first half and Sean Dyche’s men were able to see out the win to gather their first points of the campaign.
“The season is still pretty young,” said afterwards to Match of the Day. “It doesn’t look like we are 100% fine-tuned. But it’s only the start of the season and I can see a lot of good things.
“The lesson here is don’t give the ball away like we did twice today. We will work on it 100%. We need to have a plan for deep defending teams. We have a few things to do – that is clear.”
