Russell Martin believes Norwich would not be in the relegation fight if they had been more clinical in front of goal.
The Canaries head into Saturday’s home clash with Manchester United in 19th place with 31 points, two points adrift of safety.
Norwich have managed 35 goals in as many Premier League games this season and Martin feels his side may not be in danger of dropping out of the division if they had been more ruthless in front of goal.
He told the Eastern Daily Press: “I think missing chances is probably a factor in where we are. We’ve been on top in a lot of games and been dominant, or winning a game and not quite put it to bed with chances. But that’s why we find ourselves where we are.
“It’s not the only reason, but it is one of them.
“We haven’t done it and when you don’t, you’re trying to keep a clean sheet for as long as possible.”
