Keith Millen declared himself happy as Crystal Palace wrapped up the US tour with a 2-2 draw against Vancouver Whitecaps.
Palace had to come from a goal behind as a brace from Fraizer Campbell put them in front, but Vancouver grabbed an equaliser as the game finished with honours even.
Assistant boss Millen was happy with the application of his players after three games in just six days and was also happy that the fans got to see some goals.
“We really enjoyed the game,” Millen said afterwards. “We weren’t happy with some of the goals we conceded but for the fans I was pleased that there were some goals in the game. It became very end-to-end but that happens when you make a lot of substitutions.
“Our fitness levels have improved but our match levels are what we’re looking at now. Some of our players got 90 minutes today for the first time and everyone got some minutes so we’re in a good place.
“We’ve really enjoyed being in the city and hospitality – we’ve been treated well and so I’m glad we put a spectacle on for the fans tonight.”
