Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel is a target for Besiktas and the player’s agent has suggested a move could be in the pipeline.
The Nigerian looks to be heading for the Stamford Bridge exit door as new boss Antonio Conte looks to put his own stamp on the club, but he will not be short of options.
Besiktas are ready to offer Mikel a deal and agent Mesrun Izzet says there is a chance a move could go through if the player gets guarantees over money and first-team opportunities.
“Mikel did enquire about Besiktas and there were talks it all depends on what Besiktas board decide to do,” he said. “Money is of course important but Mikel wants first-team football if he is to move.”
Chelsea continue to be linked with Leicester midfielder N’Golo Kante and AS Roma star Radja Nainggolan, so Mikel will be pushed further down the pecking order if either player signs.
