Tottenham will reportedly resurrect their interest in Manchester United’s Morgan Schneiderlin in January after failing on deadline day.
Spurs were busy on Wednesday, bringing in three new players, most notably Moussa Sissoko from Newcastle United for a reported fee of £30million.
However, reports suggest the north London outfit were trying to land a fourth deadline day signing in the form of United defensive midfielder Schneiderlin, who has slipped down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
The France international has played just five minutes of Premier League football so far this season and Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino was said to be ready to offer him a way out.
Despite not using him very often, United boss Jose Mourinho blocked the move from even getting off the ground, claiming he would need Schneiderlin for the Europa League and domestic cup competitions.
Spurs have not given up hope they can still sign the central midfielder in the future and will reportedly make a fresh attempt to land him when the transfer window opens again in January.
