Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye says the players need to learn from the Bournemouth defeat although they have not lost confidence.
The former Aston Villa player says that the Cherries showed Everton how to play as a team as they ran out 1-0 winners on Saturday afternoon at the Vitality Stadium.
The midfielder is looking for the side to bounce back in their next game against Crystal Palace on Friday night, the final fixture before the international break, but claims confidence has not been dented by the defeat.
“We didn’t start well. They pressed us and scored early. After that they showed us how to play like a team – if you don’t start well then it’s difficult to get playing like you want to play,” he told reporters.
“The second half was better but we couldn’t score. We need to work hard on the training ground, stay focused and keep going.
“They showed more energy and played well. If we had played to our capability we could have won but they caused us a lot of problems.
“We must hope we win the next game at home.”
