Havard Nordtveit is a major doubt for West Ham’s trip to Man City on Sunday but Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini could return.
The Hammers have plenty of injury concerns ahead of the clash at the Etihad and summer signing Nordtveit is the latest after he picked up a knock in the Europa League defeat against Romanian side Astra Giurgiu at the London Stadium on Thursday night.
Andy Carroll and club-record summer signing Andre Ayew are also absent through injury but skipper Mark Noble should be available after he rested a minor injury on Thursday.
Payet and Lanzini, however, have both made good progress following their recent injuries and boss Slaven Bilic is hopeful one or both could be in contention for Sunday.
On his injury concerns, Bilic said: “Nordtveit got a kick on his foot again last night after he got a kick against Chelsea. He’s very likely to be out on Sunday.
“Mark Noble should be all right. With Payet and Lanzini we’ll also know tomorrow. Maybe one of them.
“After this game we have an international break for a couple of weeks and we need them. If there is no risk, we’ll use them.”
