The Austrian defender serves a one-match ban after he was sent off against Birmingham on Saturday.

His absence could see a debut for Iceland centre-half Ragnar Sigurdsson or a recall for Tim Ream.

Boss Slovisa Jokanovic could make further changes after seeing his side slip to their first defeat of the season, but he is still without full-back Ryan Fredericks (ankle).

Burton captain John Mousinho still looks like being an unlikely inclusion for the trip.

Mousinho has missed the last three matches with a hamstring injury and although Brewers boss Nigel Clough thought he might be able to return at Craven Cottage the weekend now seems the target.

Clough has options should he wish to make changes with the likes of Stuart Beavon, Damien McCrory, Will Miller, Hamza Choudhury and Lee Williamson hoping to earn a starting place.

Defender Tom Flanagan remains a doubt with his thigh problem as Burton look to extend their four-game unbeaten run in the Championship.
