Barcelona star Lionel Messi insists that his side’s Champions League last-16 tie with Arsenal isn’t over yet despite their lead.
The Spanish giants picked up a 2-0 victory at the Emirates Stadium in the first leg and that has given the Gunners a huge test this week.
Arsene Wenger’s men, who were knocked out of the FA Cup on Sunday by Watford, will need to produce one of their best performances of the season and many have already dismissed their chances.
However, Messi believes the north London outfit have too much quality going forward and that his side needs to be aware of the threat they will still pose.
“Arsenal have players more than capable of scoring goals,” he told reporters.
“We have put ourselves in a very good position to progress and to reach the quarter-finals but none of the players are thinking that the job is finished.
“Of course we know the danger that Alexis Sanchez can bring but that is only one of many top quality players they have. The style they play is the most similar to that which we play at Barcelona and for that we have a lot of respect for them.”
