Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew has confirmed James McArthur is on course to return for the FA Cup semi-final against Watford.
The influential Scottish midfielder has been sorely missed during his time out through injury and Pardew cannot wait to have him back available for the Hornets clash and beyond.
The 28-year-old is back in training and although he has yet to join in with the rest of the Palace squad, he is not far away.
“James has had no setbacks thankfully,” Pardew told the Advertiser. “I still think Macca is going to be around for the semi-final and maybe the game after.
“He’s a player which has such energy. Like Jason Puncheon, he’s a very important cog in our system that we had lost.
“To have him back is a going to be a massive bonus before the end, because we weren’t sure he would have.”
