Mayor of Liverpool reveals stadium news: Everton could have new home within two years

Toffees chairman Bill Kenwright and billionaire majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri met with Anderson in London today to discuss the possibilities.

And the talks appeared to progress well.

Anderson tweeted: ”Great meeting with Farhad. Still believe a new stadium in 2 yrs is achievable. #COYB.”

The Everton-supporting mayor posted a photograph of the three at the meeting with the tweet.

Everton are looking at a docklands-based site or land at Stonebridge Cross in Croxteth after plans to develop on Walton Hall Park were abandoned in May, just two months after Moshiri bought into the club.
