Mauricio Pochettino warns Leicester: We’ll be waiting when you slip up

The game was delayed by 30 minutes because the United coach was stuck in traffic and the hold-up seemed to make Spurs anxious.

But they produced three goals in six stunning second-half minutes, starting in the 70th, to ease the anxiety around the ground.

“The performance was fantastic,” he added. “The first-half was difficult, I think 50-50.

“But in the second-half we played much better. I feel very proud, full credit to our players, it was a fantastic performance and effort against a team that was difficult in history to beat.

Referring to the fact that Spurs had not beaten United at home since 2001 he said: “After 15 years it was important for our fans to enjoy this type of game.

“Leicester showed big character and personality, with a good performance.

“They fully deserved the result. It was important for us to show after the Leicester game character, personality and maturity.”
