Mauricio Pochettino: This is just the start for Tottenham, we’re here to stay

Klopp isn’t interested in using Tottenham’s rise from outside the top four to title contenders as some sort of inspiration for his own side.

But after matching second-place Spurs, the German questioned why there are 17 points and seven positions between them.

“If you want to write something that makes sense about this game, then think about if there should be seven positions between us,” he said.

“If not, then we have to think about how we can close this gap. I saw a few really good signs that this could be possible.

“So we know we are in a good way. But you can’t start dreaming and think for them it’s possible, maybe for us it’s possible.”
