Matt Ritchie has told talkSPORT it is only a matter of time before Eddie Howe is managing a Premier League giant.
He is reportedly being eyed by Arsenal as a potential successor to Arsene Wenger and Ritchie, who spent three-and-a-half years under the 38-year-old on the south coast before moving to Newcastle in the summer, says his old boss has what it takes to lead a club of that standing.
Speaking on the Alan Sports Breakfast, the Scotland international said: “You go out on the pitch with a clear game plan every single game – whether it’s in the cup or league.
“Every game is prepared for with 100 per cent detail.
“Bournemouth fans will hate me for saying it, but he will manage at the top of the game for sure.”
