Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic could be heading to Manchester United when Jose Mourinho takes charge of the Reds, reports claim.
The former Blues boss looks certain to take charge of United following the sacking of Louis van Gaal on Monday, and reports are already suggesting that the Portuguese will look to raid Stamford Bridge.
Striker Diego Costa has already been linked with a switch to Old Trafford, but Matic is said to be Mourinho’s number one target as he looks to bolster United’s midfield.
New Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has his own midfield targets, including Leicester City’s N’Golo Kante, and will be happy to let Matic move on at the right price.
Mourinho brought the 27-year-old back to Chelsea from Benfica in January 2014, and it is thought Chelsea will demand at least £25million for the Serbian midfielder.
Sporting Lisbons Joao Mario is also a target, but Matic would cost £10million less and Mourinho knows him well from their time together at Chelsea.
