Everton boss Roberto Martinez has urged his players to move on from their 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Liverpool on Wednesday.
The Toffees had a night to forget at Anfield as Divock Origi, Mamadou Sakho, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho found the back of the net while Everton’s Ramiro Funes Mori was shown a red card.
Martinez’s men don’t have long to wallow in self pity as they turn their attentions to Sunday’s FA Cup clash against Manchester United at Wembley.
The Everton boss has admitted it was a tough night but his side, who can be backed using a free bet, must move on quickly.
He said: “It doesn’t come any worse than that.
“Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong. The whole chain of events was horrific and it is a showing we need to forget as quickly as we can.”
